My Canon EOS Rebel T5 doesnt work with my Mac

My Mac has installed OS X 10.10.3 Yosemite but the camera needs 10.7 to 10.9, do i need to isntalled a previous software to my mac? is there any other solution?

Visit the support page for your camera.  Download and install the "EOS Digital Solution Disk" software for Mac OS X.

It will have newer versions of the software which will work with OS X 10.10.x
