My Canon 5D II 's back light will not go off.

Hi.  My 5Dii's back light won't turn off.  I've tried new CF cards, new batteris, nothing works except pulling the battery.  I must pull the battery between uses or the light ends up draining the battery. Is this fixable or do I need to send it in?

As a last resort before sending it in to Canon for repairs, check the LCD illumination button, ....

... and the associated illumination brightness setting in the camera's menus.
