Yesterday I purchased a used Canon EOS Rebel Ti. Of course it came with no lens. The guy at the camera shop gave me two lens types to google.
Canon EOS EFS 75-300 mm
Canon 85 mm F1.8
When I goodle these names I get all sorts of lenses, some say EOS some say EF some say EF-S some say DSLR (does this matter? My camera is not Digital it is a 35 mm Film Camera) I am so confused I don't want to buy a lens that will not fit. I don't know what all of this means???
Is DSLR mean a digital camera?
Does SLR mean only a manual Film Camera?
What did i buy?
Can you please help me? I need a lens but the correct lens. To make it worse, I am in a budget of $100 or below.
Thanks and many blessings to all of you...

I had a Canon AE-1 from 1974-1980...
Canon Ti is a musuem piece, nothing more. An AE-1 is good condition can be sought after by some... the Ti, not so much, but maybe someday.
I'm all for being a purest and in many cases will use what still works even though newer, often better things are available, but I wouldn't bother with a Ti at any price.
You can purchase any EF lens you like and use it with your next body.

"I am so confused I don't want to buy a lens that will not fit."
Now to actually answer your question now that we know you have film camera. The letters EOS mean it will use EF lenses.
The Canon Rebel Ti was released in 2002 to upgrade Canon's EOS Rebel series of autofocus consumer SLR cameras. Upon its release, the Rebel Ti had the fastest autofocus and most advanced autoexposure in its class. Among the more welcomed improvements was the new stainless steel lens mount, replacing the less durable plastic mount found on previous EOS Rebel cameras.
So the key is to find a lens that has "EF" in it's name i.e., EF 50mm f1.4 or EF 28mm f2.8 or EF 24-70mm f4
