Bob from Boston we hit the 48 year mark last time.
Hallmark was 100% Nikon until digital. My dad was a Nikon user. But I went with Canon way back in the early 80's with a F1n and an A1. Still have both and both still work well.
I have a Nikon D3 currently and am looking at a D3x since they have just been discontinued by Nikon and the price is attractive. A 24mp full frame.
The main most reason to buy Canon is by far the lens line-up. There are certain Nikkor's that are extremely good but as a whole the Canon line wins hands down. I have been fortunale enough to have or at least to try the best from either company.
I just bought, about a month ago, the ef 24-70mm f2.8L IS II. This lens is so impressive. I am truley impressed with it.
I have no doubt the combo 24-70mm and 70-200mm version II are the best lenses made, period.
