I purchased a used Canon 6D and had it astromodified. It works perfectly however when I checked the metadata from a recent shoot I noticed that the name of the original owner shows as the Creator. How can I change this to my name in the cameras software.

Connect the camera to a computer. Start EOS Utility and change the name.
You can also use Gphoto2 if you are on Linux.

The Prime Directive when it comes to buying a used camera is to fully reset it back to factory defaults. You can actually change the owner name and copyright info in the camera menus. But, it is a little awkward to do. It reminds of typing on an old Blackberry.
