Just a general question here regarding the title. So far, knock on wood, I have had no problems with anything I have in the camera bag or lens bag. I recall someone saying that after a certain date, Canon will no longer offer service on that camera or EF lenses. Not a concern...yet. Your replies are most welcome.

I used to own one of those lenses. It was in production for years before being discontinued. The only documented issue was zoom creep. My dad’s old EOS kit from 1987 still works. It contains an EOS 650 film body, 420EZ speedlite, EF 35-70mm F/3.5-4.5 AFD lens & EF 70-210mm F/4 AFD lens. It all stick works on DSLRs and adapted on Mirrorless. Though there are some limitations on newer cameras. Since the newer features came out later on after the lens was released.

I should take it out for a workout....been having so much fun with the R6M2 since I got it, those other cameras prob feel negleced. 😆
