Hi folks from the North of England
Yesterday I noticed my camera had a message
Firmware update Ver 1.1.3
Card containing Firmware required for update.
On checking I found I'm on Ver 1.1.1
Camera is just over 2 yrs old.
So I found 1.1.3 on line, but I only have an old ipad and Samsung Galaxy phone - neither of which can open the file.
So: a couple of questions
Am i at risk of harming my camera without the latest version?
I can use my son's computer to download the new version onto a card.
Please explain the process in simple steps and what card should I purchase to do this?
I'm old and not very comfortable in these techie situations
Thanks as ever
Ramsden

Thanks Peter
I wondered about the numbering system.

Firmware update also is available on the Android version on the Samsung Galaxy for Canon Connect 3.5.11.15 (build 1455) after connecting the camera (at least for the R6 Mark ii as that's what I tested).
