I just bought a Canon EOS R-7. The firmware version is 1.6.0. I downloaded the firmware version 1.7.1, unzipped it, and copied it onto the formatted memory card at the highest level where the folders live. I am on a Windows 11 computer and used a transcend card reader with the formatted card that was formatted in the camera. I followed the directions on the Canon website and the camera seemed to find the new firmware. However, when I get to the Update Firmware screen, the OK is grayed out. Up to this point, everything looked just the instructions said they should.
Any idea what I did wrong? Any other information I need to put here to help with troubleshooting?
Thank you,
Marcy

Have you tried to tap ok? Or use the controls to move focus to that control.

The touchscreen will not work.

Please use the quick control dial on the back of the camera. Rotate it to the right 12>3 to move the focus from cancel to ok. Then press the set button. 😉
