No it's not possible the camera doesn't support charging via USB.

Thanks for the quick reply! Is it safe to use a "dummy battery" in the T7? I have heard some negative comments about them. Thanks again...

No the camera is NOT designed for that.

How about something like this?   [Removed link per forum guidelines - replaced with screenshot]

It's best to stick with first party Canon gear. Some cameras support this feature. I don't believe Rebels do. Also 3rd party links aren't allowed in the forum a moderator will remove it.

I doubt if this device works as advertised.  Most devices of this nature actually contain a battery that is charged via USB.  A standard USB port cannot provide sufficient power to properly charge a camera body.

While the battery can and will begin to charge with most of them, the problem is that the camera consumes power faster than the battery can be charged.  The operating battery life is typically shorter than those of a standard Canon rechargeable battery.

I agree that it is better to stick with Canon gear when possible, and I know that Canon has a dummy battery, but I cannot locate it searching for Canon accessories. I do a lot of time-lapse stuff and need longer battery life than one battery. Thanks for the advice and assistance.

So you're looking for this.
