EOS Remote not working

Toodyt
Contributor
I have an EOS 70D and have a new iPhone 8.
The EOS Remote installs on the phone. However it does not get added to the Privacy setting and therefore has no access to download the picture except using email.

It also is not compatible with the Canon Connect app. It doesn’t detect the Camera.

Ok the other Canon Camera Connect APP.
I was able to finally connect it only when I went through the complete camera setup after the app is running!
Thank you for your assistance!
Much appreciated

There s also a very brief description of the wireless capabilities.  Make sure the camera is in wireless mode, not USB mode.

Actually I have the setup working.
TheEOS Remote App works to the point where you try to download a picture.
It Fails to download due to the app not being in the privacy settings to allow access to the Photos.

I have used the remote shooting with the app.
But can’t download the pics.
I can email them because it doesn’t require the privacy permission

What file format are you using?  I think the wireless file transfers only works with JPG files, because a smart phone would not know what to do with a RAW file.

Contact Canon Support.  You have a software problem, not a camera problem.
