EOS Rebel T7 won't turn on, battery doesn't seem to hold a charge

I wanted to use my camera one day and it wasn't turning on and I thought because of the battery being dead. So I had it charged after a couple of hours but it still won't turn on. I have tried searching up what might resolve the problem but nothing was working. I tried charging it again and still won't turn on. I also noticed that once the charger tells me that it's fully charged and I try inputing the battery into my camera it does not work so I try to charge it again and it says that its low battery again. Does that mean, I have to buy a new battery or it's my camera that has a problem? (I only have one battery)

Greetings,

Depending on the battery's age, it may not be taking a charge. Your battery charger might also be the issue.  The place to start is buying a new battery.

If you have a photography store near you,, you can probably take your camera there .  They will probably have a battery you could test with if you want.  It never hurts having a spare battery so I'd start there.

Check the battery and charger. If you are relying on one battery, you need an extra battery. When doing a photo shoot, I carry one extra battery in my vest.
