Hello, I have a Canon Rebel T6i. When I turned it on the other day and went to take a photo, I had this error message on my screen.
"An error prevented shooting. Turn the camera off and on again or re-install the battery."
I did both and not working. I tried my fully charged batteries in a friend camera and they worked. I am stumped as to what happened to stop working.
I have had my camera for around 6 years I believe.
Thanks for any suggestions or insight
Brenda

Is it still making the error or was it a one off thing? If it persists, you might want to take off the lens and see if anything is blocking the mirror. Or make sure the flash is not obstructed.
