@Tmag23,
There's nothing wrong with the SanDisk brand. These are one of the manufacturers we recommend most due to their reliability and performance. The issue is with the type of card.
You need to use a standard full-size card, one that doesn't use the adapted microSD.

This is the best advice you have gotten from this thread,....
"I would also look into multiple smaller 32GB Class 10 SD Cards. DO NOT use 1 large SD Card to store all of your pictures. If the card were to fail you would lose all of your pictures. Using multiple smaller SD Cards prevents this from happening."
........beside not using micro-SD that is. Also keep in mind cameras are not a photo storage devices like some folks do on their iphones. Depending on how important the photos are you can send the micro-SD to SanDisk for them to try and recover them. They can do a lot better than the software but it isn't free.
"When I took second shots at the school ALL pics are there."
If you were able to review the photos after you took them I.E. at the school later on, then the photos are there. Don't use the micro-SD any more before you send it to SanDisk or try the recovery software on it.

Most memory card related problems in the forum are due to using Micro SD Cards in an adapter. The camera was designed for Full Sized SD Cards. If Canon designed the camera to be used with Micro SD Cards. The camera would accept them directly without an adapter. Using an adapter creates another mechanical interface which could lead to problems. The other common memory card problem is using too large of an SD Card that an older camera can't support. Don't buy cheap SD Cards either.

I would try putting your micro SD card in a different full sized adapter if you have one. Or borrow or buy a different adapter. And try reading it on a different PC or with an external card reader if you haven't done so already.

Thank you everyone for advise. My SD CARD is a full size I'm sorry I thought it was mini with adapter. Im going to try to recover photos first not sure if will be able to but won't hurt to try. Im not sure what happen ive never had it happen before. I dont never leave photos on card when I am done taking them I always put them directly on my laptop for free up space on card. But I guess we shall see.
Thank you

I would buy an external SD card reader. They are not expensive you can get one at Walmart or Amazon. If you are going to try recovery software don't do anything to the SD for now. Wait until you get the SD reader. Wait until you get the recovery software and install it on your laptop. Above all don't delete anything or format the SD card.
Repeat.............
If you were able to review the photos after you took them I.E. at the school later on, then the photos are there.
