Hello
I just bought a new IMAC desktop
I am trying to get EOS Utility to work as this computer as it has no CD drive
I have downladed Utility and tried a multiple of sugestions to get the MAC to read the camera thru USB and nothing
I am getting very frustrated as there are about 100 pictures I need to download before my daughter gives birth in the next few weeks
Camera is a Rebal TXi
Anny help would be great

Buy a card reader that plugs into your USB port, for now.
Make sure that your USB cable is good, and that it is a data cable, and not just a power cable.

Your Mac has its own SD card reader. If you need a CF reader, these are very inexpensive and plug directly into a USB port. Although the Mac has no CD slot, a USB CD unit is available for about $80 if you feel you need one.
The XTi is obsolete, and direct image transfers from the storage card are much simpler.
