EOS R7 with an EF 24-105 f4 L IS USM: Micro adjusting lens

I'm using an R7 with an EF 24-105 f4 L IS USM adapted to it with a Canon EF-EOS R adapter ring. I've been trying to micro adjust the lens but can not find a menu option to use.

Is it possible that the camera/lens combination does not support it?

Greetings,

Mirrorless cameras don't have micro adjustments because AF is performed directly on the image sensor.  DSLRs use a separate AF module so a small amount of error can exist (front or back focus).  If you want to do more diagnosis, shoot in RAW and look at the images in DPP.  Enable show focus points on the View menu to see what the camera is actually focusing on.

If the lens is not functioning properly. You can send it to Canon for inspection.

Thank you. I had no idea.

Yes, it is possible to microadjust R7, but not from the camera menu. R6 for example can save microadjustments for 7 lenses.

Send the camera and lens to Canon and they can AF adjust the combination.

Nikon provides an in-camera process for at least some of their cameras, but to date Canon does not.
