After updating the firmware, the camera does not turn on. The battery was full, it showed a successful update, it showed the OK screen, I clicked it and now it won't turn on.
Is there a solution to the problem? Can I try something myself? Thank you!

Turn off the camera. Remove any memory card, lens, or accessory. Does it turn on now?
Turn off the camera. Remove the battery. Fully press and hold the shutter for at least 10 seconds. Replace the battery. Does it turn on now?
Still no luck? You will need to contact Canon Technical Support.

They replaced the motherboard in service. There was no other solution.

Thanks for this update. Mine also won't turn on. R6ii. I updated to v1.4 and the camera would freeze. This happened during a wedding ceremony. So I tried to back date to V1.3 and now it won't turn on

My R7 is suddenly dead. won't turn on. tried everything for a hour. not working at all. It happened beginning of my 6weeks trip. Can't get Canon service til I get back to South Korea cuz I am from there and mine still on warranty..I had to buy new R7 in ridiculous price(compared to S Korea) in North American shop.
