EOS R6 Enabling Touch Shutter

I read in the user manual that I should be able to touch the "Touch Shutter" icon in the lower left of the screen to enable/disable this feature.  When I click on that area with touch shutter off it does not enable.  When I go into the menu options and enable touch shutter, it works, but touching the icon to turn it off again only focuses on the area I touch and takes a picture.

Am I misunderstanding the ability to turn this feature on and off using the touch screen?  Are there other settings that are mutually exclusive that would cause this to not work?

I have other "problem" with the touch shutter. Is there any possible way to switch this off (remove the on/off button from touch screen anyhow) for good?
Main menu > Page 7 > Tocuh Shutter - Disabled works until I touch the icon top left corner on the screen accidentally.

Hello esox_hu,

There is no way to remove the Touch shutter button totally unless you go to the display that just shows the [Quick Control] screen. You can do that by pressing the [INFO] button. You may need to press that several times to get there. You can disable the on-screen buttons, however. This will disable all of the buttons on the touchscreen though. You can do that in the red camera menu #7 under [Shooting info. disp.]. You would select that and then select [Screen info. settings]. Hit the [INFO-Edit screen] button next. On the [Edit screen 1] page, scroll down and de-select (uncheck) [On-screen buttons].

Thanks a lot John. It can help, even if it does not solve the "whole problem" for me. When I'm on the street in sunlight I won't change my AV settings so many times, so that could work for me. I prefer to set this feature multiple times  on&off rather than taking a bunch of random pictures by touching the screen while walking with my camera.
