EOS R5 II issues with RF lens IS (wobble/tick/shift)

New R5 II with IS enabled on RF lenses has an issue while filming in video mode (all codecs, frame rates, and resolutions).

I've tried 15-35, 24-70, 70-200 (2.8 RF) and they all shift/wobble/tick when moving or while holding relatively still (beyond the normal drift/slight wobble from typical lens IS)

The issue does not exist on the original R5 and wondered if anyone else had this happen with the R5lI.

I’ve also changed batteries, reset the camera, disabled all in camera ibis, but the issue persists until I turn off IS on the lens itself. In photo mode it does not seem to be an issue at all.

are you using a gimbal? Gimbals and IBIS never play nice together. If using a gimbal, try to see if you get the same issue handheld.

IBIS is not the digital equivalent of a physical gimbal stabilizer.

What subject is the camera supposed to be tracking and locking into focus?  You’re moving the camera around everywhere.

Canon sent it in to their engineers and sent out a new replacement that does not have the issue. IBIS was not on at all (sample was shot in canon RAW). It’s an issue with the body communicating with any RF lens. The issue happens on a tripod or while holding very still.

Oh, so it was some hardware issue? Mine doesn't have that tick, but its super shaky with certain lenses that have IS like the 35mm 1.8 and 15-35mmf2.8 (at 15mm, the wobble is super bad) when handheld. I think my non-IS lenses worked better with just the IBIS. Worried its like a hardware issue...

Yes, I sent all the data/log info and Canon sent out a replacement through the dealer.

The new camera works seamlessly with all my RF glass with IS on.

My 15-35 2.8 definitely has wobble still. The IS and ibis always have a bit of jello with certain movements. Do you have a sample clip of the issue you’re experiencing?

i dont have one at the moment, but yeah, I guess the wobble im seeing is within reason. Currently ive just been noticing that the 8kRaw or 4kSRaw seem to look jittery with lenses that have IS, but its fine with normal 4k 60p with digital IS included. I guess my 15-35mm might be normal then. My 35mm 1.8 with IS is suuuuuper jittery no matter what as long as im hand holding it. Quite weird since the lens IS toggle on the lens is on (along with greyed out IS option in menu) which should mean that the IBIS and Lens IS are working together. Seems like theres no stabilization at all. The 16mm and 28mm work fine with all the same configurations. Still shaky, but not as bad.
