I have been trying to find out if Canon is planning to offer an M6 style camera with the R mount. I unfortunately fell in love with the M6 just as it was being discontinued, and I have been waiting to see if Canon is planning on developing a camera like this to no avail. I have been a loyal canon customer for close to 50 years. I would hate to have to go to another manufacturer to have this dream realized.
We are a community of users, and have more idea than you about Canon's future plans.
If you have a current need and a new body is not imminent as stated in the rumours sites, than you should not wait for something Canon may or may not do.
