Hi,
I just bought an m50. In the viewfinder display, there is a 6 above the number of shots left on the sd card, and to the left of the battery level, on the right side of the screen. What is it for? The manual doesn't mention anything. And google is not my friend rn. I don't know the phrase to google for.
I have the canon ef 50mm with viltrox adapter on the m50. Waiting on the kit lens to arrive.
I uploaded a photo. It's the area circled in red.
Thank you, Rosy

What you're seeing how many shots you can fire continuously until the buffer is full. So you have at least 6 shots until its full. There could be even more space available but the camera can't display it. The display has limitations on how many digits it can display.

Also just a word of caution Canon has discontinued the EOS M system. All EF-M lenses have been discontinued and EF/ EF-S lenses have been discontinued. Also Canon no longer supports the EOS M50. The EOS M system is a dead end and has been replaced by the EOS R series now.
