EOS M100 does not recognize my new Canon EF lens with Meike mount adapter

I’ve bought a new lens for my canon EOS m100 with a mount adapter (bought a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM and a Meike mount adapter MK C AF4 but the camera doesn’t recognize the lenses. I’ve found on this forum how to put the shutter release on but it’s no use when nothing is sharp on the lens.

can you help me what I’m doing wrong and how I van make this lens work? #m100 #moundadapter #primelense #canoneos

Use the Canon brand EF-EOS M Mount adapter. 3rd Party Mount adapters are nothing but trouble.

"... but it’s no use when nothing is sharp on the lens."

What does that mean? You said, "... the camera doesn’t recognize the lenses." 🤔
