EOS 70D Custom mode not remembering HDR setting

Whenever I "register" my custom mode with HDR set to "enable", the HDR setting does not stick. If I change to "P" and back to "C", the HDR setting is lost.  Can anyone help with this?  Thanks.

Sorry to post in this conversation, but I'm a newb and can't figure out how to start a new post. 

My canon 70D doesn't not show any HDR or bracketing functions anywhere in the menu. I have updated the firmware to 1.1.2 (newest as of writing). 

This section of the menu should show HDR, but it does not. Help!
