My Canon 5D Mark IV was stolen last January 1. Would I be able to track it down thru its GPS?

I doubt it. Unlike phones, cameras record their position but do not report it.

ISTR seeing that people have scoured the exif data in places like flikr for the camera serial number. Then use the GPS to track the camera down.
But it is a long shot.
