Okay so I got my camera working with the software and decided I wanted to get a dummy battery to avoid having battery run out when I am in the middle of teaching. But it seems Canon discontinued the kit that contains both the ac converter and the dummy battery. Have others encountered this? I see on Amazon that there are third party knock offs of the kit but I'm afraid those cheap knockoffs would cause energy spikes that might damage the camera. So what do I do? And Canon, while you are awesome, why did you discontinue this part?

Greetings,
Check B&H. They have one. But its not canon branded. (Use at your own risk situation)
BH #GYGVUSBLPE12 • MFR #GV-USB-LPE12
For that you wil have to search eBay if its no longer being produced.
