I have been looking for a method to display accurate numbers for electronic and mechanical shutters, but the software I have found, such as shuterCount from direstudio, can only display inaccurate numbers in thousands.
Until I occasionally found eosmsg, after trying several R series cameras, I was convinced that this software could indeed detect accurate mechanical shutter numbers and electronic shutter numbers. The electronic shutter count is the TotalShots minus the ShutterCounts.
The only regret is that this software is not free, this software is charged based on the serial number. If you only have one camera, you only need to pay once, and there are no restrictions on computers or query times.

I would start with Canon's own scripting language Canon Basic. Works with RP, R, R5, R6.
