I'm trying to set up a custom shooting mode with a back button feature for selecting a single point spot when I'm usually in an expansion of 4 or 8 points. I can get the camera to do this in standard shooting modes but when I try and register those under a custom shooting mode, everything is registered except for the back button feature (I'm using the AF-ON button). Anyone have any suggestions?

Which camera are you using? Custom controls should saved, too. Instruction manuals contain a listing of all of the settings that are saved in custom shooting mode for a given camera.
Also, you may want to check, and maybe disable, the auto update settings feature for your custom shooting mode.

Sorry....7DMII. I did have auto updates disabled. I'll try and set it up again and register it under a different number.
