EOS 550D says card not detected

My camera is eos 550d I have a SD card and the camera says no card I tried it in other cameras it works why doesn't it work in the eos 550d

Full size or micro with adapter? Don't use a micro with adapter.

Canon's can be finicky about cards. Try another.

It's a SanDisk full size SD card 4gb

If you try another card and it does not work, your card slot is broken and needs to be fixed. You can look inside and see if any pins are broken or bent.
