I'm not too good at explaining things.
The camera's button wont release to take a picture when the button is pressed down all the way.
As I continue to mess around with it, I switched the camera to its view finder so the image is on my screen, when taking a picture, and since it's touch screen, I'm able to tap the screen and it will take a picture. and the button works as well.
The only time it doesn't, is when the view finder is on the manual settings. I've had my camera for three years now, never had an issue, and have always taken care of it.
If anyone has any advice or similar issue, let me know!

One condition that can cause the shutter button not to work is that the camera was unable to achieve focus.
