Does anyone know if my.canon rebel t5 will support a universal 1 TB memory card
I have no idea what that even is. It sounds like costs more than the camera. Stick to SD cards that are 32 GB, or smaller. If you need 1 TB of storage space, then buy an external drive for your computer.

Welcome to the forum.
The T5 supports SDXC cards, and the 1TB SD card is SDXC, so it will work.
But, the primary use of the large SD card is for movie recording with later model cameras. The T5 doesn't have the movie formats that would require the speed and size of the large capacity SD card.
Not a good use case.

Your T5 is not an iphone nor a hard drive storeage device. It is a camera. Smaller SD cards are best fo r one big reason you don't have all your eggs (photos) in one basket (place). Bad idea.
