That's probably a "C" with a 4 inside it -- and it's a Class 4 card.  A Class 4 card is not fast enough for video (but will work for photography).  The Class 4 card simply has a slower transfer speed -- but unfortunately framerate on video needs to write data to the card faster than the card can handle it.

The card needs to be a Class 6 or above.

Thanks so much for your timely response. This is the first reply I've gotten from anywhere including youtube and others. No one ever responds to my questions especially you tube. I watched several you tube videos on how to operate the camera and posted questions and no response. Thanks so muchWoman Very Happy I'll buy a new one today !

P.S. I Love my camera I shoot in RAW and it's phenominal !

Good luck!  Incidentally, Canon does not specifically recommend a brand... but the SanDisk and Lexar brands seem to be the best (and even within these they have a variety of performance specs.)  e.g. "SanDisk Extreme" or "SanDisk Extreme Pro", etc.

I do see enough posts from people who have cards which are supposed to be fast enough... but sitll give them problems.  But the problems tend to go away when they buy a high quality brand.  For this reason, I tend to not mess around with budget cards -- sometimes saving a few bucks just isn't worth the grief.

Glad you are liking your new camera!
