Hi all!
Here's my issue. I'm currently shooting for a job on set and I'm required to shoot in silent mode. The problem is, I often times experience banding issues with my R5 and R. I don't have the option to shoot in Mechanical or anti-flicker so that's out. I've tried slowing down my shutter speed but my photos still come out slightly soft or blurry since my subjects move around a lot.
Any help to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated, thank you so much!

“ On the EOS R5 if the shutter mode is set to mechanical and you enable anti flicker mode. It switches the shutter mode to Electronic and it cannot be changed. It’s grayed out and says that anti flicker needs to be turned off before switching to mechanical. “
The R6 Mark Ii does the same thing!
” As I noted, the order in which settings I changed made the difference!
Once you enable Silent Mode, the Shutter Mode will automatically switch to Electronic Shutter and become greyed out.”

Yes I tried that exact order that you posted on the original EOS R5 and it wouldn't work. Though it IS supported on the EOS R5 Mark II & EOS R6 Mark II. Its also available on the EOS R3, EOS R8. I think this feature was added in newer camera but not older ones. The original R & RP don't support it either.

Sounds like “HF Flicker” might be the game changer.
