I'm using a Canon EOS M50 for live streaming using OBS to Youtube.
I have a dummy battery plugged in so I run it off power.
I have the auto power off disabled.
But on this camera the display setting doesn't have a stay on option, the longest is 30 minutes for the display to stay on.
So after 30 minutes the livestreaming display stops, the OBS screen goes black, which means the youtube screen goes black.
To get it going again all I can do it turn the camera off then on, and it carries on. But I need to get a ladder out to reach the camera, so this option is not ideal.
I could run the power cord all the way to where the computer is, so I switch it of and on there, but again not the best option.
Does anyone know how I can have this cameras display to stay on all the time.
This camera is only used for this livestreaming it has no other use.
Thanks

There may not be much you can do about it.
Except for the high end cameras, all the Canon DSLR & MILC bodies had a 30 minute time limit at the time when the M50 was released. Some users found clever ways to work around it, depending on your exact setup and whether you don’t need the audio.
First and foremost, leave the power settings at their default settings, even though it seems counterintuitive. Work arounds involved pressing the [Info] button on most models and disabling AF on the lens. YMMV.
