Canon EOS R8 - Movie record button while in photo mode. what are those settings?

This is for the canon R8

I have a question.  what settings are used when you record a video using the movie record button while your camera is in photo mode.

From what I understand, most of the other models use whatever you have configured in C3. but the R8 only has C1 and C2. there is no C3.   also, it doesn't use C1 or C2 for its settings as I have both of those settings on my camera set to clog 3 and when I record a video while in photo mode. it does not record clog 3. I can see where I can change the record format in the menu as far as 4k etc. but I don't see how you can change other things it just records. I thought it was recording with the same setting as I have the camera currently set for shooting pictures but that doesn't seem to be the case either.

do anyone know about this? what settings are being used to record, can you change those settings etc.  and this is when you record video while in photo mode using the red movie record button on the canon r8

Your EOS R8 uses full automatic exposure for movies shot by pressing the movie button when the camera is in photo mode. The 10th page of the red shooting menus set the movie settings for movies captured while in stills mode. You can set the frame rate and resolution, audio settings, ISO range and the operation of the shutter button.

Check the screen for Shooting 10 on this page of the manual.

Only EOS R1, R3, R5, R5 Mark II, R and Ra will switch to C3(movie) mode when the movie button is pressed while the camera is in photo mode. All the others use the separate auto exposure only movie mode like your EOS R8.
