Canon EOS R5C not connecting to FeelWorld 4K 7" monitor?

Hey!

I just wanted to ask if anyone has experienced a similar issue and found a solution to this before I assume the mini HDMI port on my camera is broken (as it was working just a couple of days ago when I tested it last).

Suddenly when I plug in my FeelWorld 4K 7" monitor into my Canon EOS R5C camera, I'm getting a "HDMI: no signal" message on the monitor on top of a gray screen. There is no flickering or such when I try to position the cord differently or when I check that the cords are properly plugged in.

I tried plugging in the monitor into a laptop and that worked, so I don't believe it's the monitor. It could be the cord, of course, so I have purchased a new one to try (the cord I tried for the laptop was a different one) and I'm waiting for it to arrive. I've looked in the port and on the camera itself and see no damage.

Could it be a setting on the camera that I'm not thinking about? Could it be the order in which I'm plugging everything in?

I'd really appreciate any help you may be able to give! Thanks!

Greetings,

Curious what version FW you are running?

Testing with a different cable is a good idea,  and will quickly rule that out.  It sounds like your monitor is fine since it's working with your laptop.  One suggestion is to test output with USB C PD or power connected.  I'd make all connections prior to powering the camera on.

I'm running v1.0.9.1  so my manual reference is for that version. Review settings starting on page 151 ~153

Is the FreeWorld Monitor auto sensing?  Can you force a display resolution?

Does the monitor have storage or recording capability?  These are long shots since the display had been working previously.
