Canon 70D focusing

Maybe it's something I'm doing wrong or a setting I'm not using but I'm having trouble keeping my subject (race bike on a track) staying in focus as I'm holding the shutter down taking a series of pics. Should I be using the h-shutter? I'm using the s-shutter. I do pan with the subject and it looks like I have it set to use all 19 focus points.

Hobestly, I'm not sure. I'm having a hard time seeing where that setting is. I have a Canon xti and use that setting a lot. I just got this 70D and still learning it so will have to check that...thxs

Looking at the link you gave me, It looks like I've been in one-shot mode so will certainly take a look at this. Thanks again...
