Hi! I have a Rebel t2i, and I am trying to make my camera the main live stream camera to use facetime/ zoom to teach yoga lessons.
The camera was discontinued in 2017 and apparently does not have specific software to connect to a Mac. I was told my a Cannon representative that I could try using newer software, but no promises on it working.
I'm wondering if any of you out there have tried this before or have any advice before I purchase the chords that may be useless.
Thanks for the help!!

Welcome to the forum.
Canon has software that will allow you to connect your camera to a Mac as long as the OS is Catalina or below.
Support | Support DSLR | EOS Rebel T2i | Canon USA
No software for Big Sur.
Canon has webcam software for the Mac, but the webcam software does not support your camera.

Hi there!
Thanks for your reply. How do I find out the OS? It is an EOS Rebel 2ti.

What model of Mac to do you have? Most laptops (MacBook) or iMacs would have a built-in-video camera. That may be a better/easier solution.

Thanks! I have the 2020 MacBook Air. The webcam is very fuzzy, though, and I am looking for better video quality.
