Camera EOS 600D shot by itself during HDMI output

I'm using this camera for HDMI output on a computer. The camera is not recording, just connected for HDMI out with the selector on video position, But after a whil the camera seem like shoting a picture (not really saving anythin) and than restart the output as normal. This clearly is affect my ability to record video on the computer. ANy experience with this?

Are you in movie or liveview mode? Liveview can time out.

Liveview i assume. The selector in on the movie position but I did not press record.

OK! I see why. Since I'm using magic lanter seems they have some option to make half-shutter button sticky to prevent the camera from turning off LiveView after 30 minutes. Will try! Really thank you. This may have saved me in some way!! Thanks again.
