Hi all,
I recently upgraded my canon 75 - 300 lens to a sigma 150 - 600. I'm happy with the results so far however the autofocus is inconsistent. It often times won't autofocus on a subject at all.
I'm still a newbie and am wondering if there's any settings I should play around with, or if the 5D Mark III is too old to work well with this lens, and if I should consider getting a new camera body?

I have had to sometimes kick the autofocus in the pants by focusing on something at a different distance, then are-focusing on my subject.

Have you updated the firmware on the lens. I was having the same issue on my 5D Mk IV and purchased the Sigma dock, loaded the software and completed the update and the challenges were resolved.
But don't let me suggest you shouldn't upgrade to a new body 😉
