I was using my 80D while on a walk and noticed that the focus squares in the viewfinder had begun flashing randomly like it no longer knew where or how to focus. A few minutes later the video display no longer worked. This was a week ago, with no exposure to water. The camera takes photos, but the autofocus will not work with either lens. I am used to depressing the shutter until it focuses, then taking the photo, but now it only depresses to take the unfocused photo. And the video display only shows the "sensor cleaning" when I turn it off.
I'm so lost without my camera (I bought used from B&H 3 months ago). Most grateful for ANY advice!

I suggest that you contact B&H immediately.

You may have exceeded your used gear warranty period. If B&H won't help contact Canon for repair service. 1 (800) 652-2666
