700D shutter button will not work and Q button flashes when I press the shutter button

I cannot take a picutre.

Nothing happens when I press the shutter button and Q button flashes when I press the shutter button.

Is this 700D (also known as Rebel T5i) new to you? Do you have the manual?

Start by resetting the camera to factory-defaults, page 214 in the manual. Then see if shutter button works normally.
