Hello,
Im literally brand new to photography so I apologize in advance for such fundimental questions.
My aperture setting wont go below 4 and Im pretty sure it should. Whats the trick to "unlocking" to get below 4?

The maximum available aperture is determined [by] the [lens\ that you're using. What is the full model number of your lens?

Lense wont do it, Just figured it out. Its an F4 24-105. I guess the F4 makes sense now 😉 thank you for the response

Yup, if you want larger you want a 50mm f/1.8 or f/1.4.
