Hey,
I had a shoot yesterday and when I got back I noticed that most of my video files were corrupt. I can view almost all of the footage but each .mov file is riddled with skips both audio and video. Sometimes the audio and video slip out of sync but after another big skip, they go back to normal for a while.
corrupt 5d iii footage

These were the settings used on the first clip:
5D Mark iii
1/50 iso 640 f 5.6
24 fps All-I
Card Used - Delkin Devices 32GB UDMA 7
CF 1000X
I have tried the free trials for:
Treasured
http://aeroquartet.com/movierepair/download
and
HD Video Repair Utility
http://www.grauonline.de/cmsimple2_6/en/
Neither seemed to fix the problem. HD Video Repair Utility was able to show me the first bit of a .mov that my imac wouldn't even open but the footage was still full of skips like the link included.
Does anyone have any ideas of a solution?
Thanks!
Ian

Hi inelson!
Thanks for posting.
When playing back HD video from the EOS 5D Mark III, the hardware specifications of the computer playing the video back are very important. Only computers made within the last few years may easily play them back without appearing "choppy" or "skipping" during playback.
I'd like to gather some additional information from you to help myself and the community determine what could be causing this.
