4K Dual Pixel CMOS AF for Canon RP

Hello ,

I have a Canon eos RP and it is  annoying when I shoot in 4k .  Dual Pixel CMOS AF  missing  instead of eos R wich has the same CMOS digic8 sensor.

It is a hardware or software limitation?   It is possible for Canon to fix this issue in the next firmware?

thanks

There are typically trade-offs when shooting at higher resolutions and/or frame-rates; especially so with consumer-based video equipment.

Also note that simply knowing what processors each camera has is not enough.  e.g. one camera may be running it at a lower frequency to reduce heat.   There could very well be other factors at play too.

Finally, none of us can answer as to what may be in any future firmware update.  You can always provide feedback to Canon to consider your feature request.
