Yes you can. The Rebel series cameras can take either Canon EF lenses or EF-S lens. You can verify by looking at the body without the lens and observe 2 painted dots, one white and one red. The red is for mounting EF lenses like the 24-105 f4L ( which is a great lens, by the way)
