What's your first L lens?

So from when you got your first (D) SLR camera, when did you get your first L lense?

What was it and what did you have to sacrifice to get it?

You have it all. Is that the end for lens?
I personaly keep looking for more.

17-40/4.0 L (finally replaced with 16-35/2.8 L II)

Leon

My own first L is the 70-200 2.8 IS II after six months on 60D. Three months saving up for this gem of a lens!

My 200mm Rolleinar MC 3.5 gets less used on the 60D and more on my 600D now.

For a long time at work had been using the 16-35mm 2.8 LII and 24-105 with 5D mk2.

The 24-105 f/4L. This would be my second and mine is a great copy. Enjoy this lens!

Regards, Will G.

My first L was the 70-200 f/4L... on a 300D digital rebel.

A second hand 24-70, lots of saving and begging my wife 🙂 Sold it a while ago when upgrading to FF and replaced with 24-105 I is simply had to have the reach.

Mine was the 24-70 f/2.8 on a 7D

24-105 F4. My husband got it for me to replace the kit lens with my 20D. It's still my favorite lens!

70-200 f/4 which was replaced by the 70-200 f/2.8 II.   Wish I could have justifed keeping the F4 but needed that extra stop.
