RF 800mm F11 lens not working with EOS R6

I bay i 800 mm f11 

To use in canon eos r6 but in the screen tellmy to change the settings is not workin hepl please i bay used

Do you have it extended and locked?

Also make sure you have updated the firmware on the R6

Today i take it so when i open extended i dint look it ..i dint any update

From the fist moment i put on camera i se the message in the screen change the settings

I think maybe is good idea to make restart the factory settings

Switch the top shooting mode dial to the Auto.  Do you still see the error?
