RF 24-240 compatibility with EOS R7

Good Morning,

Yes I am embracing digital cameras and loving it. I made my choice and got an R7. I know I have a lot of EF glass, but one RF lens that intrigues me is the 24-240. Seems to be a really decent lens from what I've read thus far. And that range would make a really nice option to pack light for Europe. As I am new to allof this mostly, the lens should work fine on the R7, yes? I've only seen reviews using on R5's/ FF cameras.

Thanks all! Stay cool this weekend!

Mr. Walleye,

Thank you for your question. I like the R6M2 camera very much. The sensor is better in the R6M2  than the R10. There is a significant difference between the two in low light situations. I was happy with the R10, but happier with the R6M2. I like the full frame technology. I will miss using my RF100-400mm lens with the R10 because the focal length is 640mms whereas with the R6M2 it is 400mm. Think seriously about the R6M2. I believe you will be happy with the end result.

Thanks...I'll see where the resolution to my issue goes. I know the 24-240 would be great on it too, as a general purpose lens.

Mr. Walleye,

Wish you the best on your situation. I am using the RF24-240mm on my R6M2. I have been happy with the camera and lens.

Mr.Walleye,

If you want another opinion go to Ken Rockwell's website www.kenrockwell.com and read his reviews. The R6M2 is one of his favorites and the RF24-240mm lens is his favorite lens. Best wishes.

Reese.

I just watched his reviews of both and the RF 28-70. Funny you mention him. I’ve been a fan of his for some time. I know he’s either a love him or not like him guy but I enjoy his review style and info. Thanks for the extra time and thoughts! R6M2 is on its way!

Mr. Walleye,

Congratulations on the purchase of the R6M2.

Wow. Nice camera. The images are really good. Low light shooting is better than the R7. More messing around to come but initial images with the RF 28-70 IS STM are very sharp. I concur with your assessment. Thanks again!
