Currently using a canon 6d and just past 1 year of doing photography entirely with 70-300 of landscape, some birds, motorsports, and aviation. The 70-300 has treated me very well. Did some street photography when I traveled, but I do struggle at night street photography at times due to the aperture of the lens and not wanting to up the iso for a lesser noisy image.
Its my first time travelling to japan and I plan to photography what ever I can and wondering if I should buy a sigma 24-70 f2.8? The 70-300 is good for the lens compression effects and if I need to use less than 70mm especially at night I could use my pixel 8 pro which is my current plan.
The more content I watch, I wonder if I should by a 24-70 f2.8 lens?
I only plan to bring one lens, hence, this question and what would be the best option. Its my first time to japan and not sure when will be the next time I go there.

I have the Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 lens. Its a good lens its not a great lens. If would say, discounting the vast difference in FL, if you were happy with the IQ you got from the 70-300mm, you will be blown away with the Sigma. Plus the constant f2.8 aperture vs a variable aperture.
