Hi. Does the lens from this link fit the canon camera eos rebel t3? Altura Photo 49MM 0.43x Professional HD Wide Angle Lens (w/Macro Portion) for Canon EOS M50 M M2 M3 M5 M6 Mark II M10 M100 M200 R50 R100 Mirrorless Cameras
is says for 49mm it changed to say Canon EOS M50 M M2 M3 M5 M6 Mark II M10 M100 M200 R50 R100 Mirrorless Cameras

but if I change it to 58mm it’s title changes to

Canon EOS 70D 77D 80D 90D Rebel T8i T7 T7i T6i T6s T6 SL2 SL3 DSLR Cameras

i want to do 49mm but idk if only the 58mm fits please someone find out and tell me if I can do 49mm or only 58mm. Here’s the link: #58MM 0.43x Altura Photo Professional HD Wide Angle Lens (w/Macro Portion) for Canon EOS 70D 77D 80D 90D Rebel T8i T7 T7i T6i T6s T6 SL2 SL3 DSLR Cameras

The link doesn’t connect to anything for me, but my guess, from the description, is that the item is a screw on lens that threads onto the filter ring of a lens. If I am correct these things are junk and could even damage your lens because of the weight it adds.

Hi Zeke2,

What you posted does not actually include a link, but I am familiar with this vendor and knew where to look.

Altura refers to this accessory as a lens, but it's really an adapter.  Higher quality units usually mount between the body and lens.  This unit mounts to the front of a lens.  It's important that you understand this "accessory" does not mount to a camera.  Notice the box states "HD lens attachment".  Let's talk about your camera and lenses.  You have a T3.  What lens or lenses do you own and what lens were you hoping to use this accessory with?

The mm reference is not focal length.  It's the width of the lenses filter thread.  I do want to mention the following. You'd be much better off buying a lens with a shorter focal length than using an accessory like this.  Tell us about the lenses you on and we can provide more details.

Please note however I am in 💯 percent agreement with jrhoffman75.
