Hey y'all,
Stars:
-Should I wait for the new RF 24mm f1.4?
-Buy the EF 24mm?
-Something else?
Thanks!

Most of the guys I know in the astronomy club are using one of the fully manual Rokinon lenses. Perhaps you might try the Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 IF ED UMC Lens. I don't have one but I am tempted to get one just to see for myself.

Thanks! I'm not a huge fan of 14mm- I'm happy at 24mm compositionwise.
Anyone specifically shooting with the RF mount, have an opinion?

Rokiinon makes a 24mm similar to the 14mm.
I think the cinema versions of the lenses, which have declicked aperture rings, may have better quality control than the ones sold for "photography." The cinema lenses do tend to cost 10-25% more. I have bought a couple of the 14mm lenses, and they are tack sharp.
